Keyboard Magazine names the GBB "Unsigned Artist of the Month"
MEMPHIS, Tenn., June 1, 2002 -- The Gamble Brothers Band is pleased to announce that it has been named by Keyboard magazine as the "Unsigned Artist of The Month" for June.
The magazine, which has a circulation of 72,000, reviewed the GBB's debut CD "10 lbs. of Hum" in the June issue, which is available at newsstands and online at www.keyboardonline.com.
Keyboard writes, "With members hailing from Southern soul capitals like Muscle Shoals, Alabama, and Memphis, Tennessee, the Gamble Brothers Band were destined to be funky. The greazy goodness of 'Blue Beat Years' from their latest release 10 lbs. of Hum had us grooving along instantly."
The magazine chooses one unsigned artist each month to spotlight. The editors review numerous CDs each month before choosing the winner.
